I love this photo because even though it is so simple, it captures so much emotion for being only in black and white. Bill found a way to capture all of the little bumps on the dogs nose, making you think about what the pup is smelling, or what it sees. The contrast in black and white from the dark color of the dog to the lighter color of the reflection really makes the texture in the dogs nose pop.

I like the mystery in the photo too. You can tell that it is a photo of a dog but you do not know what he is doing, if he is smelling or looking at something. We also do not know how Bill managed to keep the dog so still. However he managed to capture the photo, Bill captured the amazing texture on this dogs nose and face.
